This is the story of a guy who has always been looking for that one, two or three things that would give him ultimate satisfaction. His search led him through the beginnings of a bunch of different hobbies, but none of them stuck. He would start on one path with good intentions and suddenly get bored and quit.
Then one day, this weird idea popped into his head from watching Season 3 of So You Think You Can Dance. Even though he had NEVER in his life thought that he could or should take up dance, he suddenly realized that this was a possibility that he could do as an adult. He took up some free introductory ballroom lessons at an Arthur Murray Studio. Even though it was fun and his dance instructor looked like Eva Longoria, he just didn't feel as satified as he thought he would.
Then, he somehow read about this wacky thing going on in New York City where grown adults were being allowed into major ballet studios in order to take adult ballet classes. He decided to use the Internet to investigate if this wacky idea had caught on in where he lived. He found out that local ballet schools hosted these type of adult classes. He joined a summer beginner ballet class and the rest is history. Becoming better at ballet would become his life long quest. He is only two years into this quest and realizes that he will be doing this until death.
Besides that topic of ballet, this journal will also chronicle my quest for the highest levels of fitness. I have a wide variety of things that I do to stay fit and I am always working to perfect my nutrition.
Other than that, I obviously am male. I am hetero as hetero can get. Although I am a male in ballet, which is extremely unusual, I am your standard guy type in many ways. However, I won't allow the things I pursue in life to be rigidly boxed in by the views of the male football, baseball, basketball crowd.
